WHAT IS FENG SHUI. –

The millenary science of FENG SHUI, as its name indicates, is made up of two words: “WIND and WATER”. These words help us understand that both are extremely important for energy to flow in our spaces. When this energy comes into contact with the areas that make up our homes, commercial premises, offices, they bring two types of energy:

1.-The CHI or Positive Energy: the positive energy that circulates in space is governed by various reasons, but the most common are:

1a.- Order within the spaces.

1b.- Cleanliness.

1c.- Organization, which means classifying and maintaining that order, even if the area is very busy or its use is very frequent.

1d.- Lighting, whether natural or artificial, but the environment should not be gloomy and therefore, its impact should be adequate and sufficient.

1e.-The paint in the space should be in good condition, maintained, the walls should be cared for and there should be no cracks, nor mold (very important)

1f.- The furniture in the space in question should be appropriate in size and to its use, Trying to keep it very clean and its maintenance constant.

2.- The SHA or negative energy: Negative energy settles and circulates when environments are neglected, dirty, untidy, which does not mean that large expenditures of money must be made, projects that involve major work, of course this can vary from one context to another. But speaking of everyday situations, “putting in a little effort, a towel, cleaning detergents, “get to work”, make a big difference in a specific area or space.

But even if it is not possible to make major expenses we can resolve some simple matters by dedicating that long weekend or a vacation where we manage to make change come into our lives, because if something is an achievement it is being able to renew an area that we need, whether it be a workspace, recreation, bedroom, guest room, a matter that we can even do with second-hand furniture acquired in stores dedicated to these sales, or using social networks where sometimes there are offers at very low prices and even free for reasons of moving, remodeling, etc. or simply because of a new acquisition.

These small FENG SHUI habits can improve quality of life and therefore positive energy or CHI, once this flow of energy settles in your spaces automatically and even permanently, those small changes that add more than they subtract will be noticed, but their presence requires us to comply with them, here we suggest some tips that help, simple and economical:

1.- The bathroom is a place in which we must lower the toilet seat and keep it clean, tidy and the door should remain closed because this space is a place where the products of digestion exit.

2.-Broken objects such as: kitchen utensils, decorations, and in general everything that is in poor condition should be removed from the spaces and from the house. This is very important since an object that does not work is a container for dust.

3.-We should try, as much as possible, not to bring shoes into the house, locating a place at the entrance, because when we return from the street “we bring” the energy of the street, in addition to traces of waste on our footwear.

4.-The doorknob and the entrance door, are a source of energy entering, if they are not in optimal condition, that is, both painted and clean.

5.-The kitchen, which is a very special area for FENG SHUI, because prosperity is concentrated there, should remain clean, tidy, try as much as possible that when finishing food preparations and the family gathering for meals, pick up, clean, place the dishes inside the electric dishwasher, store the food in the refrigerator, the garbage in the containers, the table decorations, whether flowers, trays and all the ornamentation return to their place, as “if nothing had happened”. Easy, it is not, but if we do it as a daily routine, we will obtain great benefits.

These small details will make our lives more disciplined and will leave in the rest of the family, household values that believe me will remain in the memories of children and young people and in the future, they will repeat them because they are established in their lives.

Next month we will continue with the second part.

      Until the next installment.
