August is the month of the beginning of the school season and as every year we treat the issue with great responsibility, since children and young people begin their student period and therefore require appropriate areas and spaces for this purpose.
During these six years of publications, I have stated that my primary profession is education, hence the importance and meaning with which I manifest myself at this time. Each student requires an appropriate space, illuminated, with good ventilation, as far as possible away from noise and distracting elements.
It is important to note that when a family has children and young people of different ages, it should treat different or separate environments as much as possible, due to the needs and interests at each stage of the group in question.
Understanding that in each home there are not always the possibilities of space for each one, however, there may be schedules or study areas with dividers of various kinds, in case the house does not have enough space for each student to have their own areas and work on their projects personally and individually.
For the millenary science of FENG SHUI, the area of education is located in the area on the left side, located in the BAGUA MAP, which we have mentioned in previous articles, I mention that, if it is pertinent to talk about the BAGUA MAP again, please write to the email that is at the end of the article and we will gladly take up the topic soon given its importance for the location in the spaces to be energized or harmonized.
Location is of utmost importance in this ancient science because it means “wind and water,” as its translation indicates and therefore, if the area that is needed is not located correctly, we can fall into mistakes, and the “cures” will not fulfill their function nor will we have optimal results. When we refer to “cures,” they are solutions in many cases that have no economic cost, and whose purpose is to solve the situation sought.
Among the “cures” we suggest are the following:
• Colors: The use of blue colors and the dark range of it, green, also black. In the case of earth colors, light colors are recommended. To this end, we see that in most educational institutions that use uniforms, the color blue, green and black, as well as earth colors (beige and its range) are very recurrent shades in student dress.
• Shapes: For this line we recommend square or rectangular shapes, since they can even be shared among several members of the family, if the case warrants it.
• Decoration of the area: Undoubtedly, the classic decoration is the traditional shelf, adapted of course, to the environment, which will serve in turn, as a place of order, consultation, and to which we can add art whose theme is motivation towards study, motivation for knowledge and objectives.
• Lighting: Depending on the location of the space, the lighting of the space will depend. For example: If the space intended for study is a room, the entry of light must be taken into account, but also the student in question and his or her homework schedule, which could need artificial lighting, even specialized for a better projection.
• Noise: This particular issue is extremely important, since distracting elements are a source of disturbance, as well as technology. When we talk about technology, it is to refer to social networks, they are a source of distraction that often influences school performance due to their capture of attention. It also happens with external noises generated by many causes. The environment and context should promote concentration.
It is convenient to point out that this area of knowledge is associated with the “earth element” and if we want to promote learning, wisdom and concentration we must apply these suggestions.
As a final recommendation, the schoolwork schedule must be respected for students, understanding that many have extracurricular activities, which require time, dedication and effort, such as sports, plastic arts and others of various kinds, but with good time management can be achieved and the discipline acquired will serve for the future.
