As we promised last month in this installment we will talk about the Garage, a space in theory intended to protect cars, protect them from the weather and the weather, which in certain seasons is inclement, despite the fact that in our state there are no demarcated stations as it happens in other regions.
This topic, which we will describe today, seems trivial given that its concept is well defined and therefore, its use. It has been and is a place that sometimes does not receive the treatment for which it was designed, and, in some cases, it is a kind of deposit in the best of cases, and in others I have no words to describe some garages and their use or we would say mistreatment. With this we do not want to victimize that space that is so necessary in our homes, but that sometimes becomes the Cinderella of the story, after midnight, in many of the buildings of which it is part.
The idea of developing this theme is not one of negative criticism, on the contrary, it is to give it its due place within family environments and at the same time, that it is a refuge for certain objects in addition to the protection of family vehicles and in some cases private commercial or work vehicles.
Within the theme of FENG SHUI, we have given recommendations to harmonize and energize the areas of our houses in order to make them comfortable, so that the energy of “a home” flows, because there is a difference that when we acquire a property be it a house or an apartment, to talk about family or personal housing, when we inhabit it we place personal stamps that transform it into a home. Giving that place the utility of protection and safeguarding, that for our ancestors it was the caves or huts, who fulfilled that function.
Going into the matter itself, the space destined for the Garage also has its areas according to the BAGUA MAP, therefore, we can make the most of it by attending to the areas that FENG SHUI, as ancient science, has taught us that the location within the spaces provides us with a better quality of life. The first thing we must do is have an image or drawing of the shape of our garage, usually its interior shape is rectangular, having side spaces for the opening of the doors of the vehicle or vehicles and this allows storage areas.
Once we are clear about that aforementioned image, we can locate the areas of the BAGUA MAP, which in turn allows us to distribute those storage areas or other purposes within the needs to be improved to optimize the quality of personal and family life. Such is the case that a client told me one day that applying this formula her Garage took a turn in terms of use of space, because she considered both her personal needs and the areas of the MAPA BAGUA and her Garage became a place of magazine, without exaggerating.
Many of us get magazines, flyers and advertising about garage designs permanently in our mailboxes, which make our imagination fly over ours, however, with a little effort and work discipline, it can be achieved. It is not impossible.
Among the recommendations that we always give to our readers, we mention order and cleanliness, a strict rule of the ancient science of FENG SHUI. Which, once applied in our spaces, generates mental and visual peace, and we can even say that the car that in the past should be outdoors now has its appropriate place. An issue that will have an impact on the maintenance of its value as an investment as it is not under the effects of time.
Think for a moment about the advantages of owning a Garage, or two in many cases and added to this that order and hygiene prevail in it, and that it allows the location of objects quickly and accurately, especially if the boxes and containers are properly labeled. So you have to get down to work and try to involve family members as help. In addition to this, it can be a way of saving when seeing objects that we did not know where they were, that were considered lost or in other cases are given a new use or can be sold or donated to those who need them.
We hope that these suggestions turn your garages into real spaces full of order, cleanliness and maintenance and that they can be enjoyed by all.
PS: You can send photos or images of your garages with the before and after to my email and we can publish them with your permission, to motivate readers.
Until the next installment.
