Optometrist Dr. Mark Horowitz, aka DR. MAGIC, fascinates the audience with his stories and magic tricks.
On March 6 at the Edgewater Estates, in a charming intimate setting Paps Corps members welcomed Dr. Mark Horowitz, AKA , Dr. Magic. Dr. Horowtiz is a very well known retired optometrist from South Florida. He has been a professional magician for 50 years. At a very young age of 12, he began learning close up magic or sleight of hand tricks that involved ropes, coins, and cards.
For many years he has fascinated his patients performing tricks. He has shared his many talents on cruises, parties and trade shows. Throughout his magic career he has met many celebrities like Jason Alexander and Neil Patrick Harris. He performed for Elvis Presley on Fisher Island. He has the largest collection of magic comic books and as the President of every Magic Club in Florida, lectures world wide including England and Hong Kong.
Guests were captivated by Dr. Magic’s polished performance which included close up illusions, humor and audience participation. Our attendees praised the distinctive entertainment that enhanced both the social experience and fundraising success.
As usual, the staff at Edgewater Estates catered a delightful brunch!

Gail Meddoff, Denise Siegel , Jane Gutterman, and Dee Zickau contributed their time and energy to the success of this spring event. The brunch concluded with a beautiful gift basket given to the lucky winner. Members left having been entertained and proud of the collective contributions…Events like this one continue to highlight the strong sense of community and generosity shared among Paps members.
