Boca Raton Public Library Presents … “Discover You” By Artist Marina Veen

  • June 2026

June 8-July 17, 2026

The Boca Raton Public Library presents a new art exhibit, “Discover You” by artist Marina Veen. Born in Odessa, Ukraine, Veen has experienced a variety of locations around the world that have inspired her art, including a variation of locations in The United States and India. Most recently, she moved from Seattle to Florida and has recently made the shift in her career from technology to creative practice and artwork. Veen notes that “the immense power of art and the daily act of artmaking nurtured her through the pandemic and beyond,” making this practice an integral part of her life.

With a Master of Art in Art Education and Studio Practice from Columbia university, Ms. Veen has begun to focus on layers, specifically of paint, mixed materials, shapes, lines, and intuitive mark-making. Ms. Veen states that “I explore what moves me in that moment—what feels joyful, what feels tender, what irritates me, what demands attention. The work unfolds as I do.” With these ideas behind them, flora forms tend to emerge, creating dynamic, bold depictions that allow for the convergence of nature and human emotion.

“Discover You,” a free exhibit, will run from June 8, 2026 through July 17, 2026 at the Spanish River Library, 1501 N.W. Spanish River Blvd., during regular library hours.             The Boca Raton Public Library provides outstanding library services, resources, and programs that meet the educational, recreational, cultural, and informational needs of the Boca Raton community.
