Spring Into Safety: April Tips for Boca Pointe Residents

Boca Pointe welcomes April with a renewed focus on safety as spring activity increases. With more walkers, visitors, and outdoor time throughout the community, it’s a perfect moment to revisit a few key safety reminders.

Seasonal Awareness and Community Activity

With the nice spring weather, more residents will be out walking, biking, and using the community features. To help keep everyone safe:

      • Drivers: Please follow the speed limit on all Boca Pointe roads and remain alert for pedestrians, especially near crosswalks.

      • Pedestrians & Cyclists: Use sidewalks where available, stay visible at dusk, and avoid distractions such as mobile phones when crossing roadways.

Home & Property Security

April is a popular month for travel. If you plan to be away:

      • Ensure all doors, sliders, and windows are locked before leaving.

      • Set alarms and verify that emergency contacts are up to date.

      • Avoid posting travel plans on social media until after you return.

Our patrol officers continue to conduct regular neighborhood checks and respond promptly to any concerns.

Gate Access & Visitor Management

To keep traffic flowing smoothly and maintain strong perimeter security:

      • Please pre-register guests and vendors on your guest list through Access Control or via Gate Access app.

      • Remind visitors to have a photo I.D ready at the gate.

      • Contractors should display proper credentials and follow all community rules.

Your cooperation helps us maintain efficient entry procedures and reduces delays during peak hours.

Pet Safety & Courtesy

As outdoor activity increases, so do pet related concerns. A few reminders:

      • Dogs must remain leashed at all times when outside your residence.

      • Please pick up after your pets and dispose of waste properly.

Preparing for Storm Season

Although hurricane season officially begins in June, April is the perfect time to start preparing:

      • Review your emergency plans and supply kits.

      • Check shutters or impact windows for proper function.

      • Update your contact information with the Boca Pointe community office.

I will provide detailed storm preparedness guidance in the coming months.
