January – The Beginning Of A New Year

  • January 2026
  • By Josette Veltri

January is the time of year when we look back, take a breather, acknowledge all our achievements, and begin again. It is a time to express gratitude for our past blessings and admire what we have accomplished in 2025. But it is also a month filled with bittersweet memories of yesteryears.

January is a reminder to reflect and let go of what no longer serves us and to embrace the people, places, and things that do. It is a time to reconnect with family, friends, and people we admire both near and far. January is also a time to take down all the holiday decorations we worked so tirelessly to put up, our 2026 goals yet to write out, and the 2025 projects we put on hold or even delayed.

January marks the beginning of the winter season, a season of wonder and magical moments filled with excitement and uncertainty about what is to come.

Yes, January is the beginning of a New Year, and for many, it is the most sacred time of the year. Why?Because it is new opportunities forrenewed hopes and dreams, joy-filled surprises, and a chance to challenge and grow within ourselves. January invites us to quiet our minds and listen to the gentle whispers that surround our hearts. It can also be a time that offers a spiritual reset. What that reset looks like is a choice we can only make.

2026 is a New Year to change old habits and create new ones. It is a time to STOP comparing ourselves to others, to STOP saying yes when we mean no, to STOP overthinking and taking conversations personally, and, most importantly, to STOP putting ourselves last. We are reminded to love ourselves as we love our neighbors. Now here’s a thought to consider!!!

On January 1, 2026, I pray that the world will experience unity and peace. And, most importantly, my prayer for my readers is that they may experience abundant blessings in all areas of their lives.
